It was dark by this point. Sun had set, the moon slowly taking it's place in the sky. Pity it was a little cloudy. She would have liked to settle in and stare at the soft blink of stars for a while. They seemed to give her little peace, take her away from the consistant drone of life. Something other than move, be watchful, and careful where you step. 'cause you never know who's going to be there. Oh well. Another time. A soft warm breeze passed through the area tossing her fur just a bit and allowing little sounds from the nearby surroundings. Well, that was nice. All seemed to be calm and cool. Just the way she liked it. She continued to plod along through, head lowered towards the ground and ears twitching- ever aware of where she was. Though it seemed like she was alone. Good enough. Didn't bother her. Well, to be truthful, it did. A bit. But what can ya do? It wasn't so bad. Good thinking time. Ever the optimist.
Stopping before the cavern she inhaled with a twitch of her nose. Still alone? From what she could tell. Lord knows she couldn't see too far into there. Interesting. Though, Mouse had no intention of entering the cave. No, it was a nice night. Why would she go and do that. Still keeping pace she continued with her nose down, just exploring a little bit before turning and walking back to take a seat near the mouth of the cavern. Slowly, moving downward with a grunt to lay there, her tail coiling up beside her and front paws crossing one over the other. Didn't seem too bad. Well, this is where she was staying. Tired of being the rover. Done with that. Well, a dog could hope anyways. But she was giving it a shot. Her eyes glanced upward at the lazily moving cloud cover, watching it pass through the sky. Well, it wasn't stars- but right now, it was just as good. A deep sigh. Mhm. Content. It was great to rest this weary frame.

With a grunt Festivv came up beside Mouse and greeted her with a warm smile. Evening Mouse. Have a nice day? Festivv's dark brown coat was slick and wet looking. he had just returned from trying to catch a fish in the lake a few paces from the camp.
He followed Mouse's gaze and looked at the clouds. They were giant balls of floating fluff. He looked back at Mouse and smiled.

It kind of startled her, to have someone end up beside her so sneakily. And her small tense proved that. Perhaps he didn't sneak though. She was a bit lost in her little world by that point just staring into space, daydreaming one could suppose, but politely, she offered a smile back and relaxed back to her normal self. So she wasn't so alone. Good. That provided her with much more comfort than it maybe should have. Eh, she's been alone so often. It was good to have other dogs around. She couldn't believe at how much she dwelled on that in her head.
"Can't complain. Less eventful than perhaps I'd like it- but, not bad. You?"
A brow quirked as he looked up to the sky she'd previously been staring at herself, noticing the wet fur. No, that was not particularily for her. She was one of those dogs that didn't care too much for water besides to drink it. But it peaked her curiousity. Or, well, had more to add to a conversation.
"Out swimming?"

Yeah, I was out trying to catch a fish.......it didn't work out to well. Festivv said licking his paw in embarrassment. He stretched and yawned.
My day has been okay, could have been better. He said yawning again.

"Pity. Oh well, there's better things than a slimy old fish."
She said, with a bit of a smile, and perhaps even a hint of a chuckle. Truth be told, she much prefered going after small game than fish. And larger when it was possible. We all have different tastes though. A glance was shot into the tunnel again. She was curious. Didn't really like small inclosed places. In fact, if it were to probably rain- she would opt to stay outside rather than in. Call it the reprocussions of a life in a crate. She wasn't exactly scared per se- more like, a severe dislike.
"Does that tunnel go in far...? Does it lead to anything?"
Yes, she dismissed her own oddball question and stood up giving a toss of her fur and sending small pieces of brush that had clung to her lower body away. She peered in and her eyes attempted to scan what they could through the dark. Not much. Ask rather than explore. It was safer.

Yes. It leads to....sadly....our dens. The Omega's live out here as they are the lowest of the pack not very respected. I'm just glad we have a den, not like the omegas of Death-Howl. They live in the rain, they sleep in the snow and they are beaten and bitten when ever the Alpha says so.
Festivv shivered at the thought of living in Death-Howl. He looked at Mouse and tried to smile.

"If you ever see me walking towards one of those alphas then, do me a favor and drag me away by the tail?"
She chuckled offering a comical smile back. Oh yes, make light of the situation. She had no intention of walking down that path towards the other pack. Not for her. She wasn't one to test her limits either. She herself didn't mind the elements, though. Never really bothered her all that much. She much prefered the outside to in no matter the weather. There were exceptions, of course, but not many. Either way. It was nice to know there was a place to go if need be.

Hey, but I doubt you'd be walking toward any of them! Festivv said with a grin.
He sat down and thumped his tail against the ground. He sighed, the tunnel was warm and welcoming, but the thought of darkness and no way out started to scare the cowardly omega. He shook himself trying to get ride of the horrible thought swarming into his head.

"I've done stupider I'm sure. Heh."
Well, truth be told...though it would have to be some sort of unthought through lack of judgement decision to meet with anyone from that other She really wasn't the best of fighters on a good day so there was no point in getting in over her head. But yes, everyone makes mistakes and she'd made hers. And she'd do it again. Fatal flaw, perhaps? She'd noticed he'd turned to looking a little sullen and her head tilted, questioning it.
"Why so glum all of a sudden?"

Oh uh......nothing......um....can i tell you something? He looked up and then said, Well...um you can't tell anyone....no one knows...not even Fire-Fly
His head was tilted and his tail was still. His thoughts were again troubled and he shuddered again. His memory came into his head again...his nightmare.
The fall leaves were falling, Gronner was beside Festivv and they were running joyfully and then the shadow of the Cross of Night Gronner growling and himself backing away cowardly. Then Gronner pinning him down telling him to do the unthinkable. Knowing Blach would be blamed, knowing Blach would be banished. no one would think a weak and cowardly omega would do something like that, such a horrible thing. He heard himself fighting against Gronner telling him he would, he couldn't. But in the end he couldn't fight Gronner and he did the impossible.......

"Sure. Won't tell another soul."
Call her a sucker for punishment. But curiousity killed the cat, right? Not the dog. But keeping a secret from an Alpha. That has bad news all over it. She wondered if she'd regret this decision. It was more than possible, but oh well. He looked like he needed to get something out and off his shoulders. She wanted to at least, help him out. Didn't really care about her own expense.
"Promise."

Festivv gulped. Ya know the old stories, that Blach killed the old Alpha, Frost? Well...he didn't. But that's not what I need you to promise..... He hesitated. Then took a deep breath and said, I did it. I killed Frost. It was Gronner he made me...I was a loner before Frost took me in and I had a mate and two pups. He knew where they lived. he threatened to kill them if I didn't kill Frost. I didn't want to not after Frost had taken me in so willingly...I remember that day like it was yesterday. I was wondering by the Cross of Night and Frost cam along 'Well there youngster, got yourself lost did we?' he had said. I had only nodded and dipped my head. He had tilted his head to one side with his icy blue eyes staring at me with an unusual sparkle. The with out a moments pause he had said, 'Come on here, young-one, come join Run-Free.' I had accepted and followed gratefully. I don't know what made me do it...I just couldn't loose the last of my kin....I....I.....wish I had let Gronner kill me instead of me killing poor old Frost. Festivv finished with tears coming rapidly from his eyes.
I wasn't there when Red-Pine found Frost dead, i was off in the tunnel crying my eyes out.....I was so angry at myself I felt like giving my soul to the Cross of Night. But something inside me stopped myself from doing that from giving up so willingly.Festivv fell silent his eyes staring at the ground unblinking.
His thoughts were swarming, would she tell, would she keep her promise? Festivv looked at her with a pleading look. He said silently to her, Please don't tell Fire-Fly.....

...well then. That wasn't what she expected to hear. At all. e expected something like, I've been where I shouldn't have, I'm friends with someone I shouldn't be with, and so on down that path. And to be honest, she have a lack of words at that moment. Completely silent pretty well. She tried to think up something; but her words failed her. That was a big secret to keep. A large weight, indeed. And now it was hers to carry as well. So why didn't it bother her? Probably because in the most desperate of situations one could not get out of, she would have at least, attempted to carry out the same thing.
"If it helps- I don't believe you had much choice. Things happen, and ended up as they did for a reason."
That was really all she could say. She tried to offer a comforting smile. Not knowing what else to do. But if it was one thing he could be comforted by; it was that Mouse was good with secrets, and her word. And it would go down with her.

Yes I believe you're right. Thanks for keeping it........On my last day I will tell Fire-Fly. And then everyone will know and then Blach will need not get revenge. Festicc sighed.

"I hope you're not planning for you last day to be any time soon?"
She spoke rather sternly. Perhaps it was early to assume such things- but he was pretty much the only one she'd been around lately that she hadn't minded. The only other she'd not been her completely blunt, and shut-up self around. Then again, it wouldn't surprise her. She seemed to have some sort of target on her back when it came to friends and good aquaintences going away. One way or another. She plunked down into a sit with her tail wrapping her paws and lowered her head slightly gazing away, while speaking in a hushed tone.
"I believe you should let things take their course and not dwell on it so much. Things will take care of themselves. Alphas can take care of themselves."
She didn't mean for it to come out bad. And seem like they should all not give a woot about the alphas of their pack. Though that's how it seemed to come out and she was a bit embarassed by that. Really, she only meant they weren't in that position for no reason and could handle it. Probably should have held her tongue. It was probably obvious she'd never lived in a pack before, nor did she really know the true saftey, comfort and comradery of one. Either way she turned and averted her eyes, kind of expecting a snap for that.
